In health professions, the focus is on people and their needs. This means communicating clearly with patients, their relatives and medical staff on a day-to-day basis.
Medical professionals from abroad who want to work in the German healthcare system need not only specialist knowledge but above all communication skills.
Therefore, teaching medical language requires special methods to help foster subject-specific communication. In our training courses, you will learn how to prepare this target group for their everyday working life in Germany.
Training on the subject of technical language teaching
In our training courses, you will gain an insight into relevant content for specialist language courses in medicine and nursing through the corresponding framework curricula from telc Publishing.
You will learn to understand the language needs of nursing staff and doctors in their daily professional practice, such as when communicating with specific patient groups. Intercultural communication and current issues of everyday care in Germany are also a focal point.
You will deal with pronunciation training and effective teaching methods, helping you to succeed in setting up your course independently! Last but not least, the course will focus on exam preparation for medical professionals.
