The new platform for digital telc examinations
DIGItelc 2.0 is the new platform for conducting digital telc examinations. The platform enables:
more efficient examination processes
higher exam security
faster processes for examination centers
more sustainable exam administration through reduced paper use
reliable operation even with a higher number of exams
The rollout of DIGItelc 2.0 will take place gradually in March and April 2026.
Overview of important dates
Until 17 March 2026
Digital examinations can still be registered in the existing system DIGItelc 1.0. This applies to the previous 80-series formats (e.g., 8061 Digital telc German B1).
Until 31 March 2026
All examinations in the old system must be conducted no later than this date.
From 18 March 2026
Examinations scheduled for April can only be registered in the new system.
The new 70-series formats will be used.
From 1 April 2026
Digital telc examinations will run exclusively via the high-performance platform DIGItelc 2.0.
From 1 April, a DIGItelc license for exam coordinators and examiners is required to work with the system.
Examination centers must ensure that the necessary licenses are available.

DIGItelc Licences – Quality and Security for Digital Exams
In order to administer digital exams in the new system, examiners and examination centre coordinators will need a DIGItelc licence starting April 1, 2026 (or March 18, 2026, for (examination) registrations). This ensures that digital telc exams are administered in a consistent, compliant, and quality-assured manner.
Overview:
- Examination centre coordinators need the DIGItelc Exam Administrator licence to manage digital telc exams.
- In addition to their valid examiner licence, examiners need the DIGItelc Additional Licence for Examiners to conduct oral exams in the DIGItelc 2.0 exam software.
DIGItelc licences are valid for three years.
Important:
A licence from the previous DIGItelc system does not authorize the use of DIGItelc 2.0.
FAQ on Digital Exams
Yes. Examinations centers also need a licence to administer digital exams. The procedure here is the same as before.
Yes. The examination centre ensures that everyone involved in organizing or administering an exam holds the necessary licence.
The Exam Administration training provides the fundamentals for organizing and administering telc exams.
The DIGItelc Exam Administrator training expands on this content to include the administration of digital exams using the telc exam software.
This includes, among other things:
- digital exam procedures,
- use of the exam software,
- organizational and technical requirements.
Yes, for A1–C2 (provided you have a valid examiner licence for the corresponding levels).
Yes. Exams can still be held via Zoom or other video conferencing software.
You can find the fees in the course description for each training program on the training portal. We have deliberately kept the costs very low. This reflects our non-profit approach.
Licences are personal and not tied to the examination centre or your employer. To view your licence overview, you therefore need a personal account with your own email address. If you have only been using an account through your examination centre, please follow these steps:
- Create an additional personal account using a private email address. Then send a brief message to training@telc.net.
- We will verify your information and make the necessary adjustments in the system for you.
Consultations are held via the MeetYou software. If you open the same access link again, you can:
- watch a recording of the consultation,
- use an AI chat that answers many common questions.
If your question hasn’t been answered there yet, we’d be happy to help:
