The examination consists of a written and an oral part.
In the A2 examination, test takers must complete tasks involving all skills. The first part consists of reading, listening and language elements, with task types such as multiple-choice questions or matching exercises. In the writing and speaking section, test takers are given a variety of prompts and have to respond, expressing themselves either in writing or orally. The test taker interacts with a partner as well as with the examiner in the oral section.
