The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) describes language proficiency across six levels, from A1 to C2, using "descriptors" that specify what learners can understand and express at each level. The CEFR allows for the comparison of language proficiency and language examinations.
A1 and A2: Basic language use
B1 and B2: Independent language use
C1 and C2: Proficient language use
Our German courses are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Assess your ability to read, listen to, write, and speak German (placement test to rate your language skills). Sign up for the course that’s right for you.
You will receive a telc placement test approximately three weeks before your language training begins. Please complete the test on your own and without any aids. Send it back to us. We will evaluate your placement test and inform you of the results. If necessary, we will recommend that you enroll in a course at a lower or higher level.
