New Developments in Hungary

We have decided to reorganize our infrastructure in Hungary and organize it in a manner appropriate to current conditions, while, at the same time, keeping an eye on the regular renewal of our accreditation for exams. As part of this process, we are offering well-proven language schools the opportunity to work directly with telc – language tests, without the middleman. Working with telc – language tests guarantees attractive conditions and access to telc’s continuing professional development seminars, including Examiner Training courses, which are available free of charge for a limited time.

Who we are

telc stands for The European Language Certificates. We offer language tests based on international standards: fair, transparent and reliable. Consistent with our European focus, we currently offer more than 90 different examinations in 10 languages. Throughout the years, telc gGmbH has transitioned from solely offering language tests to a multifaceted education provider.

telc gGmbH is certified according to ISO 9001, confirming that it is a master over its own processes and not vice versa, regardless of whether it involves the development and distribution of language tests, licensing test centers and examiners, or printing and/or publishing teaching and study materials online.

How to become a telc examiner

Examiners evaluate the oral performance of the candidates. We organise training courses in various languages for CEFR levels A1 to C2 to match with our exams. Using videos of actual exams (you will find examples here), examiner training participants discuss candidates’ performances and rate them according to the telc criteria. The examiners’ behaviour is also analysed. The training course ends with a final test. Successful participants receive an examiner licence, which is valid for three years.

telc Hungary offers free training courses for teachers. Our next courses are following soon!
