Update of 30 April: Regulations on conducting telc examinations and handling documents

Recommended action for telc license partners

After assessing and evaluating the current situation, we once again ask all telc license partners, course providers and educational institutions to comply with the following request. Before administering the examination, check with the authority responsible to ascertain which safety and hygiene measures must be fulfilled in order for an examination to go ahead. The examination centre is fully responsible for the implementation of and compliance with all measures.

If you meet the official requirements, we will send you your test documents. For examinations that have already been registered but have to be withdrawn because they do not meet the requirements, our goodwill regulations come into force. We have extended these once again until 15 May 2020. Developments will show whether we will be able to continue this arrangement in the second half of May.

Until then:

Please inform us immediately if you wish to withdraw from a registered examination. You will not incur any costs if you return the complete set of examination documents already received, in their sealed, undamaged packaging by 15 May 2020 (postmark) at the latest. The examination centre will bear the return shipping costs.

Further information on regulations regarding the administration of examinations and the handling of documents in connection with COVID-19, as well as a recommended course of action for telc license partners and course providers can be found here.
