Some of our web pages use so-called “cookie technology”. A cookie is a piece of information sent by our webserver to your computer (specifically, deposited in your browser register) when you visit our website. Our website uses the following cookies:

Session Cookies, Moodle Cookie and Piwik Cookie

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer to help analyze how users use this site. The information collected by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) will usually be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and saved there. In case IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other countries which are party to the Agreement of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators as well as providing other use of this website and Internet services. Google will not link your IP address with any other data held by Google. By changing the appropriate settings within your Internet browser software, you can prevent the saving of cookies; however, please note that by changing settings, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to the usage of this website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Further information regarding Google’s terms of use and privacy policy can be found at
https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html or https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/. We would also like to advise you that this website has expanded Google Analytics to include the code “anonymizeIp” in order to insure the anonymous collection of IP addresses (also called IP masking).

Remarketing or the “similar audiences” feature of Google Inc.
This website uses the remarketing or “similar audiences” feature provided by Google. By using this feature, an advertiser can target visitors of this website directly by showing personalized, interest-based advertising when they visit other websites on the Google Display Network. Google uses “cookies” to analyze visitor use of this website for creating interest-based ads. To this end, Google stores a small file with a string of numbers in the visitor’s browser. This number is used to record the number of visits to this website and for the anonymous collection of data on site usage. No personal data is stored. When you visit another website within the Google Display Network, you will see ad insertions that are highly likely to address previously accessed products and information. You can permanently disable Google’s use of cookies by downloading and installing the plug-in available under the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Alternatively, you can disable the use of third-party cookies by going to the Network Advertising Initiative's deactivation site (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/#!/) and following the instructions for opting-out there. You can view further information on Google's remarketing feature and Google's privacy policy under the following link: https://www.google.com/intl/en-GB/policies/technologies/ads/.

Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

We use the Google AdWords online advertising program and Conversion Tracking as part of Google AdWords. Google Conversion Tracking is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). When you click on an ad delivered by Google, a cookie used for conversion tracking will be placed on your computer. These cookies are valid for only 30 days, contain no personal data and are therefore not used for the personal identification of visitors to this website.

When you visit specific pages found on our website and the cookie is still valid we (and Google) will be able to recognize which ad you clicked on and the source page you were forwarded to. Every Google AdWords customer receives a unique cookie and consequently, cookies cannot be traced back through the websites of AdWords customers.

The information collected by the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have made the decision to use conversion tracking. AdWords customers only receive information on the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and were forwarded to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in conversion tracking, you can withdraw your consent for and prevent the installation of cookies by changing the appropriate settings within your Internet browser software (deactivation option). By doing this, you will not appear in conversion tracking statistics. Further information as well as Google’s privacy policy can be found under https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/technologies/ads/ and http://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/.

Facebook
This website uses Facebook Pixel, operated by the social media network Facebook, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. When you visit our website, Facebook Pixel will establish a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook Pixel will inform Facebook that you (along with your IP address) have visited our website. This enables Facebook to link your visit on our website to your Facebook account. We can use the information obtained from this process to show Facebook ads or use tracking features. We would like to point out that as operator of this website we do not receive any information about the content of the data transmitted or how it is used by Facebook.
