telc gGmbH is an non-profit awarding organisation dedicated to multilingualism and quality. In addition to our hugely successful German qualifications, telc English! is a strategic priority. We are proud to announce that we have reached another major milestone.
telc certificates are recognized worldwide. Particularly noteworthy is telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule. This qualification is officially recognized and accepted by the members of the German Rectors' and Cultural Ministers' Conference as proof of language skills for admission to German universities. Now an equally important milestone has been reached in the United Kingdom.
As of October 2018, a total of 15 telc examinations are approved and regulated by the UK’s qualifying authority, Ofqual – Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation.
The non-profit telc gGmbH is one of the few awarding organisations from outside the UK to make it into this exclusive group, and the only one of this select group that develops and offers language tests.
This means that from now on, telc certificates will play an even bigger role internationally. For example, Ofqual regulation is prerequisite for universities in the United Kingdom to recognize an international language qualification.
At a time when English test providers are withdrawing from Germany, telc gGmbH has undertaken intensive measures to support our license partners even better and to strengthen the ESOL area as a whole.
