telc Español A2 Escuela

telc Español A2 Escuela is a general language exam for school pupils aged about 12 to 16.  Pupils who are taught Spanish as their second foreign language (from class 7) can normally take the exam in class 10. Pupils who start learning Spanish later take the exam at a later date. For adults at this level we recommend the examination telc Español A2.

What can pupils do at level A2?

They can communicate in a simple way in typical everyday situations. In a familiar context they can hold short conversations. They can use simple grammatical structures correctly.

What is the structure of the examination?

The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 80 minutes. Before the oral exam the pupils have 15 minutes preparation time. The oral exam can take place on the day of the written exam or on another day.

What is expected from pupils in the examination?

Who can take a telc school examination?

Anybody who is enrolled at a secondary school or has a valid student ID card.

How do pupils prepare themselves for the examination?

  1. Usually pupils gain language competence in school lessons or in a language course. Additionally, bookshops have course books that prepare them specifically for the language level A2.
  1. In the mock examination pupils can familiarise themselves with the procedure and types of subtests of the telc Español A2 Escuela examination. They should know the format of the exam well, before they take the examination.

When can pupils take a telc school examination?

telc examination centres offer examinations regularly, and can also offer exams upon request. Please enquire at your centre when the next exam is scheduled. When you plan, please take into consideration that your examination centre has to register the exam at telc 30 days before the exam date.

Where can pupils take a telc school examination?

At all schools that have been licensed by telc and at telc examination centres (e.g. Adult Education Centres). Please enquire at your school. Additionally, you can find examination centres in your area if you click here.

What does the examination cost?

Your examination centre will inform you about the exam fee. Each examination centre is free to determine the exam fee individually, so unfortunately we cannot give you any details.

Can the examination be taken again?

Yes, as often as you wish. At level A2 it is necessary to repeat the whole exam, both written and oral parts.
