How do I prepare myself for the examination?
  1. Gain language competence in language courses or study on your own. Bookshops have excellent course books for use in integration courses.
  2. Familiarise yourself with the procedure and types of subtests of the Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer A2/B1 (Jugendintegrationskurs) examination. The mock examination, the practice booklet, the practice test and the brochure on learning objectives (Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer A2-B1, Prüfungsziele, Testbeschreibung) will help you with this. 
What does the examination cost?

If the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) does not pay for the exam, please contact your examination centre for further information.

When can I take the examination?

telc sets the exam dates. Please enquire at your examination centre when the next exam is scheduled.

How long does it take for me to get my telc certificate?

Normally you will get your A2 or B1 certificate three weeks after the documents have arrived at the telc Head Office in Frankfurt.

Can I repeat the examination?

Yes, you can repeat the exam as often as you wish. You have to repeat the whole exam, both written and oral parts.
