Who can take the telc school examination?

Anybody who is enrolled at a secondary school or has a valid student ID card.

How do pupils prepare themselves for the examination?
  1. Pupils normally gain language competence in school lessons or in a language course. Bookshops have course books that prepare them specifically for the language level A2.
  2. In the mock examination pupils can familiarise themselves with the procedure and types of subtests of the telc English A2 School examination. They should know the format of the exam well, before they take the examination.
When can pupils take a telc school examination?

Your telc examination centre offers examinations regularly, and can also offer exams upon request. Please enquire at your centre when the next exam is scheduled. When you plan, please take into consideration that your examination centre has to register the exam at telc 30 days before the exam date.

Where can pupils take a telc school examination?

At all schools that have been licensed by telc and at telc examination centres (e.g. Adult Education Centres). Please enquire at your school. Additionally, you can find examination centres in your area if you click here.

What does the examination cost?

Your examination centre will inform you about the exam fee. Each examination centre is free to determine the exam fee individually, so unfortunately we cannot give you any details.

Can the examination be taken again?

Yes. At level A2 it is necessary to repeat the whole exam, both written and oral parts.
