An examiniation of gerneral Ukranian for secondary school students at CEFR level B2

This certificate shows that you have mastered the language at an advanced level. It confirms your communicative skills in everyday life and at school.

Structure of the examination

The examination consists of a written and an oral part.

The test presents test takers with tasks that evaluate a range of skills. The reading and listening sections test receptive skills using tasks such as multiple choice or text matching. Productive skills are evaluated in writing and speaking tasks. Here, test takers respond to an input either in written or spoken form. Topics and vocabulary are geared to the interests of secondary school students.

The CEFR level B2

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) defines six levels of competence: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.

  • Learners at level B2 can communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is quite possible without major effort on either side.
  • They can understand the main content of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics.
  • They can express themself clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics, explain a point of view on a topical issue and outline the advantages and disadvantages of different options.
