Examiner Qualification Deutsch B1-B2
The qualification course for the examiner licence Deutsch B1-B2 runs about 8 hours (one day). It offers you a practical introduction to administering the oral exam and rating oral performance. You
- refresh and deepen your knowledge of the “can do” statements of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEF), especially for levels B1 and B2,
- get to know the telc rating criteria for oral performance,
- discuss and rate candidates’ oral performances by means of authentic video films and
- finish the course with a test.
The licence
The examiner licence Deutsch B1-B2 is valid for three years and authorises you to examine the oral part of the following exams:
- Zertifikat Deutsch / telc Deutsch B1
- Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche / telc Deutsch B1 Schule
- telc Deutsch B1+ Beruf
- telc Deutsch B2.
Prerequisites for participation
To participate, you should
- have experience teaching the relevant CEF levels (at least 450 teaching units of 45 min.),
- have native or near mother-tongue language competence in German,
- be familiar with the format of the relevant telc exams
- know the telc examination regulations and
- know the CEF language competence levels and their practical use.
Qualification criteria
To receive your telc examiner licence, you need to
- fulfil all the prerequisites for participation,
- actively participate in the workshop and
- correctly rate candidates’ oral performance by means of authentic video films. Your rating may not differ substantially from telc’s rating recommendation.
Refresher course
Is your examiner licence Deutsch B1-B2 still valid? If not, or if it will soon expire, you need to renew it by taking this refresher course.
When planning, please note: if your licence becomes invalid for longer that six months, you will need to re-attend the initial qualification course.
