Examiner Qualification English Dual-Level
Initial qualification course
The English A2-B1 (dual-level) examiner qualification course runs about 8 hours (one day). It offers you a practical introduction to administering the oral exam and rating oral performance. You
- refresh and deepen your knowledge of the “can do” statements of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEF), especially for levels A2 and B1,
- get to know the telc English dual-level and the telc rating criteria for oral performance,
- discuss and rate candidates’ oral performances by means of authentic video films and
- finish the course with a test.
The licence
The examiner licence English Dual-Level authorises you to examine the oral part of the exam telc English A2-B1, telc English A2-B1 School, telc English A2-B1 Business, telc English B1-B2, telc English B1-B2 Business*, telc English B2-C1 Business* and telc English B2-C1 University*. The licence is valid for three years.

Prerequisites for participation
To participate, you should
- have had experience teaching the relevant CEF levels (at least 450 teaching units of 45 min.),
- have native or near mother-tongue language competence in English,
- be familiar with the format of the telc examination English dual-level
- know the telc examination regulations and
- know the CEF language competence levels and their practical use
Qualification criteria
To receive your telc examiner licence, you need to
- fulfil all the prerequisites for participation
- actively participate in the workshop and
- correctly rate candidates’ oral performance by means of authentic video films
Qualification courses will be available as of 15.6.2012.
