Examiner qualification for German A1-A2
The basic examiner qualification course A1-A2 offers you a practical introduction to rating oral exam performance. You
- gain important information about telc,
- familiarise yourself with the levels and the “can do” statements of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEF),
- get to know the examinations Start Deutsch 1 / telc Deutsch A1, Start Deutsch 2 / telc Deutsch A2 and the telc rating criteria,
- discuss and rate candidates’ oral performances by means of authentic video films.
The basic examiner qualification course A1-A2 runs 8 hours (one day).
The examiner licence
The licence Deutsch A1-A2 authorises you to examine the oral part of the examination Start Deutsch 1 / telc Deutsch A1, Start Deutsch 2 / telc Deutsch A2 and A2+ Beruf. The licence is valid for three years.
Prerequisites for participation
To participate, you should
- have had experience teaching levels A1 and A2 (at least 450 teaching units of 45 min.),
- have native or near mother-tongue language competence in German.
Qualification criteria
To receive your examiner licence, you need to
- fulfil all the participant prerequisites and
- actively participate in the workshop.
- correctly rate candidates’ oral performance by means of authentic video films. Your rating may not differ substantially from telc’s rating recommendation.
If your examiner licence for Deutsch A1-A2 is about to expire or has already expired, you should renew it within the time allowed. Please note: The expiration of the license may not be more than a half year (six months) in the past. Otherwise you will have to requalify in an examiner training course.
