Training und Qualification
External associates and partners, such as trainers and examination centres, provide a major contribution to our work. We offer them regular opportunities for basic and further training.
Examiner qualification
Examiners rate the speaking skills of our candidates in the oral examinations. For each of our various exams and depending on the number of examiners needed, we organise workshops in various languages and at different CEF levels, providing successful participants with a telc examiner licence.
Qualification online
For the telc Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer A2/B1, we have just launched an online qualification course for experienced telc examiners, which has met with wide approval, so that we are now planning to offer more online qualification courses in the future.
Rater qualification
Raters evaluate the written performance of our examination candidates. For this we also offer regular workshops, providing successful participants with the telc rater licence.
Trainer qualification
telc trainers conduct the workshops for telc examiners and raters. We “train the trainers” in specially developed seminars, providing each successful participant with a telc trainer licence.
Test author qualification
Native speaking test authors (item writers) write the subtests for new test versions. These authors have a longstanding teaching experience, are often themselves authors of language teaching books or regularly create teaching materials. Members of the Test Development team provide special training for the development of our standardised, CEF-based examinations.
Workshops and lectures for teachers and department heads
We want you to be well informed about our examinations. We also want to give you helpful tips on using our practice materials more effectively in your classes. This is why you’ll find telc present at exhibitions and conferences. Upon request, we’ll also visit you personally. Just ask us!
Services for other institutions
Our testing expertise is also available to institutions outside the telc network. We offer you individually tailored seminars and services and will gladly advise you and support you in your own test development.
